About Rosie
Rosie is a certified practicing speech pathologist who specialises in, and loves working with, people who stutter.
Since graduating from La Trobe University with a Master of Speech Pathology, Rosie has worked in private practice and in clinical education in universities, teaching the next generation of speech pathologists clinical skills for working with people who stutter. Rosie has coordinated the clinic for children who stutter at La Trobe University and currently runs a clinic for children and an intensive clinic for adults who stutter at the Melbourne Speech Pathology Clinic, a subsidiary of the University of Melbourne.

Rosie believes that it is integral to provide clients of all ages who stutter with the opportunity to communicate their individual goals for therapy and to provide realistic expectations for therapy outcomes. She is passionate about explaining and providing evidence-based options for families and clients and believes that the ultimate goal of speech therapy is to create confident communicators of all ages.
Through collaboration with community self-help groups such as The Australian Speak Easy Association and working with people who stutter for many years, Rosie understands the power of a strong sense of community for people who stutter, especially for children and adolescents who may not know anyone else who stutters. Offering service options that can help to establish connections and the chance to work in groups is a key part of what Rosie aims to provide.
Outside of work, Rosie can be found spending time with her daughter, husband, and dog, singing, watching a new TV series, and drinking too much coffee.
She is a member of the Stuttering Therapy Interest Group (STIG) where she engages in continuing professional development, and is a member of Speech Pathology Australia.
